Haylie's Accident

Haylie was at Grandma and Grandpa Tillotson's house on Tuesday. When all the little Kids were cleaning up the room Haylie decided that she needed to climb up on a dresser to put a book away. She slipped on the way down and smacked her face on the corner of the dresser. The poor little thing! She chipped off the face of her front tooth, sent her teeth through her top lip and cut clear up inside her mouth by her nose (almost all the way through). When I took her to the dentist to fix her tooth, she started to bleed like crazy whenever he touched her mouth. We could not leave the office until the bleeding was under control... So lucky us! We get to go back to the dentist on September 24th. I felt so bad for her Wednesday morning. Her lip was so swollen it almost touched her nose and she had a big blood sploch on her pillow and her face was covered in blood too. She is doing much better now though... Knock on Wood!!!

Ty Ty

So we definitely had an interesting experience! Ty found a water snake in our yard and decided to pick it up and chase us around with it... The video is pretty self explanatory.

Thursday Swim Trip

Brittney and I decided to take Haylie and Ty to visit our aunt Louise in Pocatello Idaho. While on the way we stopped by McDonald's for breakfast. Haylie wanted a Sprite; we told her she could have one but there was no stops on the way so if she had to go to the bathroom she was going to have to hold it. Well by the time we made it to the middle of no where... She had to pee. So we had to pull over on the side of the road to let her go to the bathroom. Lets just say that was a one time event.
When we finally got to our Aunt's house we quickly made lunch and ate. Then we changed into our swim clothes and headed down to the pool. Ty officially has no fear. He would sneak around to the slide and be up the stairs faster than we could get out of the pool and catch him. There was a couple times it was a close call to if we were going to make it in time. Haylie loved the "big kids pool" . She struggled with the fact that her feet could touch even if the water was up to her neck. She would freak out and scream when she got out far enough that the water was that deep.
Brittney convinced our aunt and cousin to let Darius come and stay with us for 10 days. On the way home with listened to a variety of tunes... Micheal Jackson Greatest Hits, Christmas mix, and Some old school stuff. He loved it. We also discovered Cammey THINKS she can sing Spanish.
Anyway, it was fun being able to visit our aunt. I have not seen her in over a year. Family is the best!

What a sweet Family

So yesterday was my birthday. I worked and Ben was at Young Woman's camp. I was thinking that it was going to be a pretty miserable birthday. Boy was I wrong! When I got to work they had a birthday cake and a nice gift waiting for me. It was so sweet. My Grandma Tillotson called me and sang Happy Birthday. Just what I needed to start out my day :). Then When I got off work I called Ben to let him know I was on my way home. I asked him what we were doing that night... He told me that we were going to just sit around and watch TV and that I could make him a nice dinner if I wanted. I just said fine whatever. Then I called Brit to verify our plans for today and she spilled the beans! She told me her and Tanner would be a little late. Confused me! Then she said to my house. When I got home Ben had my whole family over for a surprise birthday party! It was amazing. We had Reeses cake and Strawberry ice cream! My kids and Ben bought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, Red Roses and Shasta Daisies (My favorite). Grandma Tillotson kept sneaking scoops of icing of the cake for Ty. He didn't dare touch it so he would go get my grandma's hand and drag her to the cake so she would sneak some for him. All in All it was an amazing Birthday.

Haylie and Ty Ty's Camping Trip!

Haylie and Ty got to go camping with Scott and Diane Monday night. Haylie had a blast! From what I hear so did TY. They were so so so so dirty when they got home :). And Lucky Aunt Melanie got to bath them. Haylie said she loved sleeping in the tent. She even said that she wanted to live in one (but for only a week though)! Diane said Ty would fall asleep and the second he noticed that no one was cuddling him he was awake. When I came home from work and picked them up they were some pretty tired babies! They did pretty good fighting the heavy lids for the car ride home though.

Haylie's Temple Trip

Haylie and Ty are two of the luckiest kiddos in the world! They have some pretty amazing grandparents. Scott and Diane took Haylie to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Haylie had the time of her life. She kept talking about the paths on the ground so that we could keep Heavenly Father's carpet clean. :) Maybe she will now try to keep my carpet clean! Oh, the faith of children. She keeps telling me that one day we will get to go to the temple all together as a family.

Sorry its a short post!

Camping Trip!

Ben and I decided to take Haylie and Ty camping. We just happened to pick the first nice clear and sunny weekend of the summer. We were finally able to leave our house at about 7 pm... Therefore Logan Canyon was full and then some. Both Ben and I were devastated that we may have to cancel the trip after all the promises, planning and PACKING! But we decided to drive to Smithfield Canyon. It was our lucky day!!! The first camp site was open! We pulled in and got our tent set up just as the sun went down. Haylie and Ty had a blast. They loved sleeping in the tent. Ty and I shared a sleeping bag and Ben and Haylie Shared one as well. But it was so warm at night that we all ended up out of our sleeping bags.
On Saturday Ben and I wanted to take the kids hiking and fishing. We didn't even make it to the trail head when Haylie thought she needed to be carried because her feet were just so darn tired. At that point in time we had figured it was time to turn back. :) Haylie and I are amazing fisherwomen! We were the only ones in the family to catch anything!!! Lucky for us it was just a stick.
On Saturday evening Brittney and Tanner joined us for dinner. I made my first dutch oven potatoes, and can I say they were actually edible! Now the steaks on the other hand... not so much. Any ways we discovered that we have two super outdoorsmen for children!
