So yesterday was my birthday. I worked and Ben was at Young Woman's camp. I was thinking that it was going to be a pretty miserable birthday. Boy was I wrong! When I got to work they had a birthday cake and a nice gift waiting for me. It was so sweet. My Grandma Tillotson called me and sang Happy Birthday. Just what I needed to start out my day :). Then When I got off work I called Ben to let him know I was on my way home. I asked him what we were doing that night... He told me that we were going to just sit around and watch TV and that I could make him a nice dinner if I wanted. I just said fine whatever. Then I called Brit to verify our plans for today and she spilled the beans! She told me her and Tanner would be a little late. Confused me! Then she said to my house. When I got home Ben had my whole family over for a surprise birthday party! It was amazing. We had Reeses cake and Strawberry ice cream! My kids and Ben bought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, Red Roses and Shasta Daisies (My favorite). Grandma Tillotson kept sneaking scoops of icing of the cake for Ty. He didn't dare touch it so he would go get my grandma's hand and drag her to the cake so she would sneak some for him. All in All it was an amazing Birthday.

Haylie and Ty Ty's Camping Trip!
Haylie and Ty got to go camping with Scott and Diane Monday night. Haylie had a blast! From what I hear so did TY. They were so so so so dirty when they got home :). And Lucky Aunt Melanie got to bath them. Haylie said she loved sleeping in the tent. She even said that she wanted to live in one (but for only a week though)! Diane said Ty would fall asleep and the second he noticed that no one was cuddling him he was awake. When I came home from work and picked them up they were some pretty tired babies! They did pretty good fighting the heavy lids for the car ride home though.

Haylie's Temple Trip
Haylie and Ty are two of the luckiest kiddos in the world! They have some pretty amazing grandparents. Scott and Diane took Haylie to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Haylie had the time of her life. She kept talking about the paths on the ground so that we could keep Heavenly Father's carpet clean. :) Maybe she will now try to keep my carpet clean! Oh, the faith of children. She keeps telling me that one day we will get to go to the temple all together as a family.
Sorry its a short post!

Camping Trip!
Ben and I decided to take Haylie and Ty camping. We just happened to pick the first nice clear and sunny weekend of the summer. We were finally able to leave our house at about 7 pm... Therefore Logan Canyon was full and then some. Both Ben and I were devastated that we may have to cancel the trip after all the promises, planning and PACKING! But we decided to drive to Smithfield Canyon. It was our lucky day!!! The first camp site was open! We pulled in and got our tent set up just as the sun went down. Haylie and Ty had a blast. They loved sleeping in the tent. Ty and I shared a sleeping bag and Ben and Haylie Shared one as well. But it was so warm at night that we all ended up out of our sleeping bags.
On Saturday Ben and I wanted to take the kids hiking and fishing. We didn't even make it to the trail head when Haylie thought she needed to be carried because her feet were just so darn tired. At that point in time we had figured it was time to turn back. :) Haylie and I are amazing fisherwomen! We were the only ones in the family to catch anything!!! Lucky for us it was just a stick.
On Saturday evening Brittney and Tanner joined us for dinner. I made my first dutch oven potatoes, and can I say they were actually edible! Now the steaks on the other hand... not so much. Any ways we discovered that we have two super outdoorsmen for children!
